How and when your books reach you, digital and print.

Draft — not yet reviewed
This is a starting draft prepared against South African consumer and data-protection law. It has not been reviewed by an attorney and it is not legal advice. It must be read and approved by the client’s own legal advisor, and every highlighted gap filled, before this site takes a real payment.
eBooks and audiobooks
Digital editions are delivered by email the moment your payment clears — normally within a minute or two, and independently of office hours.
You get two emails: a confirmation of the order, and a separate one carrying the download links. They are separate on purpose, because the download email is the one people need again later and it should be findable on its own.
Links expire after a set period and allow a limited number of downloads. If yours has stopped working, re-issue it from your account or ask us. It is free, and it does not charge you again.
If nothing arrives within fifteen minutes, check your spam folder first, then contact us with your order number.

Where we deliver to
We deliver to street addresses in South Africa. We cannot deliver to a post box, because the courier needs a signature.
A work address is usually faster than a home address, since someone is there to sign during the day.
We deliver within South Africa only. Our checkout accepts South African addresses and postal codes, so we cannot currently take an order for delivery abroad. If you are outside South Africa, the eBook editions are available to you immediately on payment, anywhere in the world.
Tracking your parcel
We email you once, when your order is despatched, and that email carries your Courier Guy tracking number. It is the only despatch notice we send — you can follow the parcel yourself on the courier’s website from that point, and the tracking number also stays on your order page.
If delivery fails
If nobody is there, the courier will attempt delivery again or leave a card. After three unsuccessful attempts The Courier Guy returns the parcel to us. We will contact you to arrange a re-send, though a second delivery charge may apply.
If it comes back because the address was wrong or incomplete, or because nobody was available, we will happily send it again — but we will have to charge the delivery fee a second time, because the courier charges us twice too.
Please check your address carefully at checkout. Once a parcel is with the courier we cannot change where it is going.
If a parcel is damaged
Inspect the parcel before you sign for it if you can. If the packaging is visibly damaged, note it on the courier's slip or decline the delivery outright.
If you only discover the damage after opening it, photograph the book and the packaging and email us within 48 hours. Damage in transit is our problem to solve, not yours — see the refunds policy.
